Subject: RE: Why do people hate Lance Armstrong
Body:

I read an article in the mainstream newsreporting media about his charity not giving much, if any, money to cancer research. It was a couple months ago, OP, why don't you either pay attention or do your own research?

I have read a number of articles throughout the years about the numerous allegations from inside sources. There are dozens of them. However, when the sport is dominated by one person, who is creating a buzz and bringing in more and more money, then others are less likely to openly criticize him.

His largesse allows him the luxury to impugn any possible affront, which he does without hesitation. He has a monopoly of power, which he uses forcefully, in a sport that should be about open competition. Just as he broke the mold in training 24-7, he breaks the mold in stifling all possible differences of opinion about him. I think this cements his legacy as an egomaniac.

And I have no ill feelings for the guy.
