You are right, Villanova is far more academically selective than Pitt, but that is probably also a factor of the SIZE of the enrollment. Nova has maybe 6K undergrad. What is Pitt's? I guarantee it is probabaly double.
Who cares about the "grad" programs? Totally different animal in terms of academics. And it you want to be an engineer, go to Carnegie Mellon!
I'm a Nova grad, but I also spent my first 2 years at UNC, and I can tell you that you cannot even begin to compare the quality of the experience between them. Nova would not accept abut 3-4 of my classes upon transfer, as those "classes" were not considered worthy of credit. HA!
I agree that G-town and ND are the top of the class.
But there is NO way I'd rank the WVU's, Pitts, UConn's above us. In fact, my sister graduated from Morganhole, and my SAT scores were several hundres points higher (and I'm also female, so it is a fair comparison).
Take it easy, big legs. Pitt isn't what it used to be - the average SAT going in has risen a good 100-150 points in the past few years.
Lumping Pitt with WVU and UConn is far more of a joke than lumping Pitt with Villanova.Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
