This is interesting, because Vig is far more interested in developing speed than was Raczko. Vig doesn't follow as much of a "slow to fast" progression and tries to develop speed throughout the year, and I know of a number of runners at UVA (especially Jesien) whose speed improved dramatically after Vig started coaching there.
