You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: Older guy Subject: RE: Your First Running Shoe Body: Beta bullets (briefly - just killed my feet), then first real pair was Tiger Cortez (white leather, red/blue stripes) in summer of 1972 - an old timer down the block told me I should get a "real" pair of running shoes if I was gonna be a runner. Second pair was Nike Cortez, which I found strange at the time....same model name, different company? Who were these Nike guys? (which some of my teammates thought was pronounced "Nyk").
