You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: sprinter2distance Subject: sprinter 2 distance Blog Body: So I have spent the last week doing slow runs and did my first "tempo" run today. Ran 3 miles in 21 min on treadmill in gym. Felt pretty relaxed but started to get mildly tough at end. My friend recommended 3 "tempo" (170hr) runs a week and then 3 easier long runs a week for a month to get into shape. Just for some background I retired from track a year ago - basically got out of shape over last 6 months and just started running again in an effort to get in shape for a mile race I have in sept against a friend.
