You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: provideinputplease Subject: will getting drunk one night affect my race the following weekend? Body: I plan on drinking lots of water, I won't be blackout drunk, but probably pretty drunk. I shouldn't have too much of a hangover the following morning, Sunday, which is my rest day anyway. Will this affect my race the following Saturday? I have heard coaches say "getting drunk once negates 14 days of training", but I have never found any scientific evidence to support this. Please don't just state "getting drunk affects your fitness" without providing a source for your information. Thanks Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
