As Russell said in the press conference that day, The "dirty little secret" of the DMR is that the anchor never wants to take the stick with the lead. I've seen a lot of DMRs and very rarely does the anchor with the lead hold on the whole way. The NBC guys should know better, and they should give Leo more respect, and they shouldn't write their script before the race starts.
