Subject: The destructive effects of our pervasive sense of entitlement
"My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"
How do you think think quote would be received by todays citizen?....applause and cheers of approval...I don't think so.
This sense of entitlement is in all strata of society from the guy collecting foodstamps who is too proud to work as a trash collector, to the rich who feel they just can't pay anymore taxes because they "earned thier money", to the businesses who feel they are entitled to pollute air and treat employees anyway they want, to CEO's, our religious and politcal leaders who feel they can play be different rulesand of course parents who think schools and coaches must ocddle their special kids.
Am I wrong?
