Poster: it burns
Subject: Anyone ever have welder's flash (corneal flash burns)? Should I not run?
Body:

I was working on my car for a few hours last night. Before I went to sleep my left eye started hurting. I figured some dust may have gotten in it from grinding and it would flush itself out overnight so I went to sleep.

Got up this morning with the same general issue but not really bothersome. Then I walked into the sunlight and realized the extreme burning and discomfort. After attempts of flushing something out of my eye I realized it's just welder's flash.

I've never had this before. It hurts like hell. I can see out of my eye when I can keep it open, but I can't do that for very long. How long does this last? Should I take off running until it goes away? It seems to be getting better but I've also been inside so sunlight isn't putting me in debilitating pain any longer either.

It's my eyes so I don't want to take a chance, but I also don't want to feel like I'm just being lazy.
