Ran in the Big10 back in the day and I honestly think you're going to need to improve to even walk on, but it all depends on whoever they hire as the new head coach and how many non-scorers he wants around. Minimums to walk on based on my experience: 800m 1:56; 1600m 4:20; 3200 9:30; 5K track 15:30; 5K CC very low 16min. Even then you'll be on the outside looking in to compete. And the experience will NOT be fun if you are getting run into the ground every day. Most guys who came in slower than above ended up quitting. A very, very few improved enough to make a difference, but you'll have to train more without getting injured to make up for having less talent. I was a little better than those times and was a middle of the pack, sometime scorer. Recent team times:
