That's sad but let's remember it's not like you can recover from a Marathon like you can from a 5k and race next weekend again.[/quote] Explain that to me: you're good enough to get a $100,000 appearance fee at London. At some point, you realize you're not going to finish very well. Your advice is to drop, get that fee cut in half and then race where? The next race that could possibly offer that kind of fee is a fall marathon and even then, no one pays as much appearance money as London.
