Subject: Kenyan Olympic team - What now?
Body:

The Kenyan selection process has now turned into an even bigger disaster.

Mosop 2:05:02 (3rd) Rotterdam
G. Mutai DNF Boston
Kipsang 2:04:44 (1st) London
Kirui 2:07:56 (6th) London
E. Mutai 2:08:01 (7th) London
Makau DNF London

The guy who six months ago had probably the least credentials of all (Kipsang) is now the only one who looks to have a spot locked up.

Mosop ran the fastest time of the others in Rotterdam.

To his credit Kirui at least tried to go with Kipsang and was still in 2nd at 40km, only to fade badly.

G. Mutai had to deal with the heat in Boston, and he was undeniably the "best marathoner on the planet" last year.

The finlists had already been narrowed down to these six, but does Martin Lel come back into the picture whith his runner up at London, especilly considering just a few years ago he was the "greatest marathoner on the planet"?

What about Wesley Korrir? Was his time just too slow even given the heat to bring him back into consideration?

So which three make your team?

I'd take Kipsang G. Mutai and Mosop with Lel as the alternate.
