'Levins' is a derived name from Levy (Jewish) which then became 'Levins' - but this is confusing, because you find some Irish people with the name 'Levins' so his origins are not completely clear, or those of his adoptive parents. He started running track races in 4th grade, and began training with older runners at a very young age, so he has always had a solid mileage base from a young age, in Western Canada. The only concern is that his window of improvement might be shorter than average, as he has attained high mileage for years.
