How can you be so dense? Nobody expects two PRs from a doubling Webb. Your straw man argument is pathetic.

Within THIRTEEN SECONDS of a 1500 PR, however, is something ANY miler should be able to do in whatever race they step into within two months of a peak. The fact that he's that far out right now is a disaster. Less of a disaster than TWENTY-FOUR SECONDS off? Sure. But still a disaster.

You fan-boys saying "he just needs to sharpen" are a joke. Can you really take yourselves seriously? I hope you're not coaches.

I am a coach, but that's besides the point.

This, however, is not. Last year, Webb ran 3:41/low 14s 5k. A few weeks later he ran 3:36 and beat an Olympic silver medalist in the process. This after running 1:52 weeks before. With history as a guide, a 3:36 within a month's time is realistic. That makes him a serious contender at the national stage given his god-given talent.

Your argument is truly the straw man. Many of the people making points similar to Mulder's are not saying he is steps away from PRing. But they are saying it is stupid to claim that anything but a PR -- or anything close -- even 13 seconds close, is a disaster. Why do people take so much delight in spouting off about someone BEING DONE, BEING A DISASTER, OMFG.
