Subject: RE: Masters Weekend Races and Runs
Body:

Solid week here in NYC recovering from consecutive race weekends. I had an excellent long tempo that suggests things are coming around.

I've had 4 weeks at 60 mpw this year, which is a PR, and I am close to 100% healthy.

4 weeks to the Brooklyn half, one of my key races this year.

On the soft side, I read Duel in the Sun this week - after reading about how a hot Boston can hurt you, I hope very few will try to race this thing tomorrow. And it makes me feel a little sorry for the professionals who have to hammer, even if it could possibly do some long term damage.

But, more positively, Boston is the spiritual homeland of running - like visiting Cooperstown or Indianapolis - always a day to celebrate the sport.
