Hello everyone,

I'm back in the relatively flat lands of upstate NY after a very enjoyable trip to AZ. I did quite a bit of hiking, but was only able to run every other day. I figure I spend enough time working and running, and it's the least I can do to put those in the back seat for a few days. My runs were ~2000 feet up from the 1.5 mile mark of the Bright Angel Trail of the Grand Canyon (as far as my family wanted to venture into the canyon), 5 miles of trails in Flagstaff, and 6+ miles of trails in Sedona. I was starting to get used to the altitude near the end, but my lungs were certainly screaming after the GC run.

I returned to good weather here and ran a couple of my favorite 6-7 mile loops on Friday and Saturday. Today's 300s will determine whether I race the 1500m at Cortland State next weekend. I probably should, but the nice thing about only racing once is that I'm still undefeated for the year ;-)

Good luck to anyone running Boston! It's about 40k longer than I like to race. As far as racing news, there is of course Nolan's astonishing sub 17 5000m this weekend, and I see that Alisa Harvey ran a 2:16 800m at the George Mason meet.
