Body: *Disclaimer: I have no formal medical knowledge, only a few thoughts based on trial and error. For me, I always tried to wait until the pain went away before strengthening, and that usually prolonged the problem. It got so weak that even walking and any form of cross training would make it significantly worse. I only got major improvement once I started doing the heel drops. They were very painful, but I stretched/ iced after every time and got much faster improvement like that. They didn't hurt for long. I've spoken with others who had similar experiences.
