Found it very interesting. http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=2401737&page=1 Found it very interesting. I am a 1500m runner myself. I've ran 3.45 for 1500m. (so 4.03 mile). I lack strength over the longer distances (14.55 for 5k0. At the same time, my speed is limited. 50high for 400m, 1.52 for 800m. One of the sessions mentioned for indication of sub4 shape was 10x400 in 60secs off a minute. I have never averaged quicker than 63s for this session which would indicate that I should be slower. If I do a 6 mile tempo, I average around 5.30-35. I do about 90 miles a week. I am just curious to know people's advice and what aspect of my fitness that they would recommend working on over the next 10 weeks. The goal being in top shape mid June. I'd love to hear people input into type of workouts, tempos and mileage they would recommend for pre-competition phase 1500m training. Any sub 4 minute milers out there....can you give a sample week(s) leading up for your track season? Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
