Poster: knees hurt
Subject: Who here does bicycling for cross-training??

My knees have been giving me problems lately. Mostly those minor aches and pains when the feet strike the ground. Not so much that it really effects my running but I find that sometimes it takes me longer to recover and some days I have to take it easy.

It seems alot of runners use bicycling as a cross training tool. Aqua jogging is an option as well but I prefer to be outdoors. So before I invest in a bike, just like to get some thoughts on the subject. What type of bike (road or mtb), do you prefer easy rides on bike paths or do you hammer through roads?
