Just because the victim was black, does not mean that it was a racially motivated assault. Are you saying that if the victim was not black then he would have gone unnoticed by Zimmerman? Zimmerman seems like an equal opportunity nut case, and I think that it's tragic that these types of incidents always have to be labeled as hate crimes. I'm not saying that prejudice does not exist, but did I miss something that points to Zimmerman as not liking blacks. Who is to say the the result would not have been the same if the victim was a non black teen walking through the neighborhood?
