I imagine for a hs or college athlete with a good mileage bank, finishing a marathon is no problem. For anyone who puts in a 16 mile long run and like 30 miles a week, finishing a marathon is probably doable. Of course, this won't get you a good time. The better question is why would you want to do a marathon when you are so underprepared.
