There is some benefit to your situation. Perhaps you are more easily inclined to improvement in endurance. I ran mid 18s in cross and have the same mile PR as you, but couldn\\\'t touch your 3200 pr (also rape your 800 PR thank ya very much). I improve very slowly endurance wise despite consistent mileage. You are just an endurance runner, more endurance work helps you improve quickly, speed comes slowly for you, just as I am the opposite.
