Hey,I'm a sophomore boy. I'd like to be faster. I feel kind of pathetic compared to people I race against. Last year as a freshman I raced long distances. I ran 16:40 for xc. 4:48 and 10:25 for track. This year during indoor, i ran short distances to work on my speed for outdoor. I ran many 800s between 2:08-2:12. My 1000 was 2:46. I started lifting recently. And I also feel pathetic at that. I weigh 130 and can only bench 165. But I feel as though lifting has helped my speed a bit. Any way, what can I do to improve and what times do you think I could get to in outdoor. I want to improve enough that I don't continue to get shown up every race. Mileage is around 35-40. I get hurt off of much more
