Body: For some sports it could be a performance enhancer, for others it could cause an unsafe condition. In much of the world it is illegal. I'm not saying that you're wrong, but that is why. If it is ever widely decriminalized then the rules may be changed, but I doubt you'll ever be allowed to be under the influence during competition.
