Subject: Will doing pushups make me faster?
Body:

Will doing pushups (or other upper body exercises) make me faster? If so, how?

I am 6 ft, 145 lbs running 100+ mpw with a 5k pr of 14:40. Right now I do core and legs exercises (planks, hanging hip flexor raises, single leg squats, clam shells, etc.) but I don't do anything for my upper body. Am I missing out? Also I don't want to add any weight, so if I do start lifting upper body, how do I do it in a way where I don't add upper body weight?

My only goal here is to be faster: will lifting upper body help me to run faster in the 5k?
