I find that posting comments on how I am feeling helps me understand what has worked for me in the past and what hasn't. Having an online running log helped me realize that over half of the workouts I did in college were pointless, and that I really could devise my own workout schedule that was more conducive to my strengths as well as more beneficial in terms of results.

I also like reading some of the comments of other runners on what their races and workouts are like. Where it gets tough, what is easy for them, how they were feeling, etc.
