Good call. Really amazing film. There was a second film, "Powaqqatsi," also interesting but not up to the level of the first. The toughest movie for me to sit through because I was REALLY trying to get into it was a thing called "Russian Ark," in which a camera panned slowly through the rooms of the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. So far so good, very good, in fact. But there was dramatic activity going on in some of the rooms, and a guy was narrating it all in one of the most "put you to sleep" voices of all-time. Looking at the visuals, reading the subtitles, and listening to this snoozy guy ... it was not a good mix. I was, no exaggeration, checking my watch every 90 seconds.
