I was especially impressed with Bayer, winning two events and gutting it out for critical points in the 5000m. Minnesota getting zip in the mile hurt, as it's usually a good event for them. It hurt having Blankenship out; not only is he a great miler, but he seems to get them pumped up. Oh well, the Gophers won 3 straight championships and came close on this one.
