i came across this result yesterday as ive been following this kid for a couple years, he races my son frequently. he has gradually progressed over the past couple years but 4:42 in february when he's supposed to be peaking for our florida state meet (first week in may) is incredible. as a man of the sport for over 25 years i have rarely seen such a talent.. he also ran 10:10 in the 3200 on friday which i was there for and i can honestly say he looked as if he were jogging...4:30 by the end of the year?

How old is he - 13 or 14? Makes all the difference in the world. Lot of 8th graders are 14, so it's not quite as impressive as a 13yo.
