Foam roller sounds like a good and cheap idea. The Thessaly test looks much easier to perform correctly than the 'McMurray' test I tried previously. I found a few videos showing it and am going to try it out, and assuming I'm not left screaming in pain I think I'll focus on doing all the proper stuff for ITBS for now.
