Why do you run? I like the way it makes my body feel and the way I feel as I walk around all day, every day. I hardly ever race. I simply don't like the anxiety of putting myself out there and putting all these expectations on performance when in reality, I just plain like to run. So, I don't race. And people ask me all the time if I am racing XXX or YYY but I just say 'no.'
I think a lot when I run, I plan my day, I set my goals, and have lots of good conversations. I don't want to give that up. If I were you, I wouldn't give it up either.
And I'll agree with eliminating this site from your daily reading list. Take the advice here (mine included) with a grain of salt....
