Body: My coach gives us really hard track workouts with too much recovery time. The workouts are pretty strenuous: 7000-8000m in total every time. When we do 800, 600 or 400's we get a LONG 400m recovery after every rep. When we do 4XMile repeats we get 5 minutes in between each rep. How detrimental is it to have too much recovery time in workouts? Wouldn't it just be smarter to do less volume with less recovery time? Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
