VF Runner - I really like the look of your Thursday workout. I might steal it in the coming weeks. Though I'm bit OCD about the 200's, I like the look of 8x200, 5 mile tempo, 8x200 better. Same volume, but more balanced numbers....again, OCD. Is that tempo done around MP? How much time after the tempo did you start the 200's again? I wouldn't worry about taking an off day if you don't feel like you need to. There will come a time when you WILL feel the need for a day off...it's inevitable, so that's when you take it. Just listen to your body, it knows best. That said, a day on Thurs or Fri this week may help put some pop back in your legs for the final sub-5 attempt. Just sayin'

Goal Race: Gate River Run (3/10)
Goal Time: 48:00-48:30

I had a pretty uneventful week. Recovery from the St. Pete half took longer than I expected and I didn't get nearly the mileage I was hoping for.

M: 6 easy (7:55)
Tu: OFF (first one in a while)
W: am - 10 easy (7:41) / pm - 6 easy (8:14)
Th: am - 10 easy (7:43) / pm - 6 easy (8:03)
F: 8 easy (7:48)
Sa: 15 easy (7:37) - ran to a local 5k, cheered for some friends, cooled down, then ran home...lots of starting and stopping.
Su: 9 easy at the trails (7:39)

Weekly Total - 70 miles

YTD - 624 miles

Hoping to get back into the swing of things this week. I've got a 5k on Saturday, so I hope to get in at least one quality session before then...if not, oh well. Next big race is the Gate River Run on March 10th, definitely looking forward to that.
