Gabius has been floating around 13:30 for years now, and recently switched from being coached by Dieter Baumann to coaching himself. He also finished med-school in October last year and has been focusing solely on running since then.
He mixed up his training, reduced workout load and added tons of runs at high-end aerobic pace (before he used to take it easy on most of his runs and only cared about pace in the workouts). He also incorporated strength-oriented circuits into his training.

He is a good guy and its great to see him run well after years of struggling to break 13:25.
