You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: Mkenya Subject: RE: 12:58 indoor 5K for LONGOSIWA Body: im a Middle and long distance runner and i have realized in this sport track and crosscountry there is alot of racism and discrimination.some people simply dont want to appreciate african athletes performance and this is exactly what kills the spirit of sportsmanship.when you look at the sponsorship, contracts by the big companies like Nike and appearances the Americans and europeans and may be australians and other english speaking countries are the one benefitting despite underperforming.this is reality imagine someone like Gallen Rupp (just an example)has a bigger contract compared to the most consistent kenyans like Kipchoge Eliud or ethiopian. can u imagine how many sub 13 Eliud and other kenyans have ran? their resume is just unbeleavable but american that hasn't even gone sub 13:10 gets paid waaaay better.this is not about hating but it's just unfair and open discrimination.we all have equal chances in competition and these africans runners doesnt have any advantage other than trainning hard as you have witness in Iten.Ryan Hall has more endorsment than Moses Mosop or Geofrey Mutai....really? this is a sport that it is suppose to unite all people and not to discriminate.'GIVE THE DEVIL HIS DUE'you can see this even in crosscountry where non-african are not willing to participate anymore. why would an african runner has to work extra hard to be recognized when a college runner like Centrowits only does one race and gets a huge contract and he barely runs 3:34? Silas has a 3:29 i doubt if his contract is even $10k . IF THIS IS NOT RACISM THEN SOMEONE SHOULD TELL ME WHAT IT IS. Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
