Body: You guys on this board know a lil sumthin about training, and weekend races, and that's it. When it comes to big time racing, you don't know squat! You gotta be with the big boys to have a chance. That old time thing about the guy coming back to you pretty much happens at weekend races amd HS. At this level, it rarely happens. Ask Ritz about it. Coming close to pulling that off, is a nice story line, but don't count for anything. You have to suck it up and be there, when someone is trying to break you. To understand modern distance running , just look at the world cross country champs. An african crew goes out at an ungodly four o something first mile. And guess what you would imagine people will get caught later. Yeah, like maybe one guy out of the crew, gets caught. Trafeh is going to be good because he has the mindset to run with wild abandon. Hastings, too, that's the type of moxie you have to have to do anything in this sport on a world class level. I pity the dweebs who trained so long and hard, to run conservative from the first mile just to finsh eleventh or twelfth. Hit the submit button below if you want us to review the post.
