(Other than the references to Sammy's 2008 Olympic race, which was the stuff of legend.) It doesn't really matter which is or was the greatest. Savor the moment and realize we are all witnesses to distance running history. Honor and respect the incredible past of our sport, but at the same time, look ahead with unbridled anticipation. Collectively, we will get to two hours. Don't let it happen without paying close attention. Don't look back and wish that, as a fan, you had been more involved or followed more closely.
