I'm salaried and get benefits, but close enough. What I do is actually closer to EE than ME, but if it pays the bills for a year or two I'm not gonna complain. I don't know why people think everyone is lying in this thread. You have a bunch of engineers posting typical engineer salaries, and some questionably high ones.
