Subject: RE: List of Athletes Denied Entry into USAs Despite Fields Not Being Full Body: It seems clear that in 2008, they went as far down the list in replacements as allowed Has.ay in the race..Even though Hasay and another athlete were added, they then claimed it was too late to add to the field even though the athlete you mentioned knew there was another scratch. As it happens, Hasay's case is another good illustration of someone who otherwise wouldn't have been in the field having an important race. Besides making finals, running at Trials sealed Jordan's decision to go to Oregon, and therefore had a huge impact on her running career - something to note for those in the 'who cares about athletes who are 30th anyway running" crowd.
