Subject: 50+ Masters Training and Racing Open Forum
Body:

Greetings to all visitors,

This thread replaces what was the “50+ Weekly Training Thread”. It is meant to be an open forum for those who are seeking an online community to share their experiences and hopes, their trials and successes, of training and racing past the half-century mark.

It is hoped that the forum will retain much of the flavor of its predecessor, in that it will allow for friendly discussion of each runner’s weekly events, but a new thread will not be started each week. The forum will be bumped regularly and a weekly demarcation will be evident for those that like the weekly feel. The intent is that with this alternate mode it will be easier to revisit and learn from earlier discussions, and to not have those discussions on any given topic fall into the vast ocean that is the LetsRun archives.

As “msr” so succinctly put it in the final installment of “50+ Weekly Training Thread”,
“Running is a lifetime adventure, and less is known about our end of it.
The vagaries of decline make it more complicated to judge what we're really capable of, so it's good to learn from all the other Experiments of Ones.”

With that brief prologue, let us welcome all who wish to respectfully engage with their “Experiment of One.”
