You are reporting the following post to the moderators for review and possible removal from the forum Poster: seventies guy Subject: RE: Arkansas Runners- McDonnell Era Body: I ran against Arkansas from '73 to '77 when he was just starting to make waves and get noticed for his distance runners. our dual meet with them, down there, in '74 was held on a high school dirt track, believe it or not. some of the guys who got the ball rolling for johnnie mac, were: Niall Oshaunessy (sp), Tom Aspel, Randy Melancon, desmond Oconnor, steve Houk, Ron Hendee....just to name a handful that I ran against.
