It wasn't his fellow Kenyan runners who framed him, but rather the uninspired Ethiopian runners who want Gebrselassie to keep the record!! See, Geb knew that Wanjiru was coming for him and wanted to retire, but the Ethiopian government and "top" Ethiopian runners told Geb that they would "handle it" for him.
