Didn't bother measuring all that other shit.

I'm starting over...

OP, thanks for starting and bumping the thread. It's giving me some motivation at just the right time.

I too have had my ups and downs and ups. Am currently on an "up," unfortunately: have been in the 160s for five months, but was 160 maybe 3-4 months ago, and yesterday was back at 169.

It's still an improvement on my "peak" weight in summer of 2001: about 226 (this for a guy who weighed 148 in college), but I'm really scared of blimping up again. I've done that before: had gotten down to 165 in 2005, but was back around 210 at the end of 2008.

Anyway: currently 6-2+, BP about 120/70, waking pulse usually in the up 60s (~20 beats higher than my running days--can't run anymore). Lift about once a week, do a few abs one or two other days. Otherwise the most vigorous exercise I get is pushing 60.

Please feel free to share tips, if you find anything that seems to work for you. I know that it's a lot more complicated than "burn more calories than you eat"...

Good luck to you, OP--and to everyone else who's striving.
