Subject: Paul Lonyangata (Kenya) (World Junior 10k) the wrong age? Should Parker Stinson be a spot higher?
Body:

I think I discovered something in the recently run junior men's 10k. When looking through the pictures and results I noticed the third place finisher

3 566 Paul Klpthumba LONYANGATA KEN 12 DEC 92 28:14.55 P8. I also saw the pictures of him found here at this link http://www.letsrun.com/photos/2010/juniors0720pm/imagepages/image1.php and new I recognized paul lonyangata. I raced Nike Team Nationals in 2006 in the open race against the kenyans. My name is Peter and I ran for tbird xc club. I remember racing Paul who was then said to be a 16 year old at the time...here's a link from dyestat.com about the article, results, and a picture of paul lonyangata.

The caption below says paul is 16 years old and trying to earn a qualifying birth in the 2007 cross country world championships. And if you look at the results from this years world junior championships it says his birthday is december of 92, which means he would only be 17 years old, going on 18. There's a flaw there. That would make him 14 in 2006 wouldn't it and not 16? So does this mean that paul is really 19 or even 20 depending on the correct month of his birth? I guess if his birthday truly is december of 92 then he does qualify to be eligible, but if not then he's not eligible. Here's the site for qualifying procedures due to age... http://www.usatf.org/events/2010/IAAFWorldJuniorChampionships/athleteInfo/selectionProcedures.asp Either way he's still lying about his age which seems really fishy to me. Not sure if dyestat messed up on their research or if he did lie about his age but I noticed this and thought I should let you know. Below is the link to the article about parker stinson and the world junior 10k.
