I'd say 5th place shows he DID deserve to be in that Bowerman Mile. You could make an argument that a few of the guys in the International Mile should have been there over some of the guys who finished well back in the Bowerman Mile. I would really like to see Wheating actually go after it here, though. Nothing stupid trying to frontrun and all, but really go after it, rather than hang back and make it all up in the last 300 and finish wondering "was there more in the tank?" Like someone said above, neither Wheating nor Gregson will be top 3 at this meet. This is one that is always stacked.
