Haha, let's just say it wasn't a great day for distance running. The high in Providence yesterday was 88 degrees, and there's no place to hide from that on the track. Out of 13 guys in the 5000 and 18 in the 3000, there were two DNF's and not a single person ran their seed time.

So let's just say it didn't all go according to plan.

boingo, are you one of the New Balance guys in the 1500 results?

Well, after my poor showing in the 5000 two weeks ago, a little redemption today for me in the 800. The wheels have fallen off a little in training - I was beginning to think I'd inadvertently peaked and was on the downhill - but I ran a solid 800 today. 1:56.13 winning my heat (gotta appreciate those wins since they are few and far between). Only 0.55 off my lifetime best! Though that was 11 (!) years ago in high school, so I'm happy to be back in this kind of shape. Never thought I'd be here again.

Got three of the Boston High Performance meets and Club Nationals still to come. Can't decide if I should focus on the 1500 and shoot for that sub-4 or the 800 and try to take down my pr. I'll probably try for both.

eddylee, where you at? How'd it go this weekend?
