and that was a good decision for Luke. It would have been a lousy decision for German. Why do the Oregon nimrods think that everyone is out to get them? A good decision for one individual is not always a good for all. Deal with it. German is pleased with his decision.

I'm just not sure why you think German couldn't run at Oregon. The guy is just an absolute talent plain and simple. Just because he is running very fast, doesn't mean he's at his best. He did not run for a great program in high school, but smashed some longtime tried and true records while working at applebees.

He's just a monster. He would be a monster at damn near any program. Maybe he would like to be part of a team that wins nationals, maybe not.

I'm not saying he wishes he could leave. Most people don't ever want to switch, most people develop loyalty to the program they are in and enjoy it. That doesn't mean it is the best program for them though, just a good one.

Anyway, he's there, he'll do fine. He may go pro and leave them if things keep progressing, in which case it never mattered where he went to college.

So far we have someone with a great freshman cross season, finished with a DNF. His quick bounce back to his fantastic season open mile leaves me a little skeptical as to the seriousness of his injury, but who knows. And until he brings that kind of mile magic to his NCAA performances I'm not sure I would agree that his current college is absolutely the best choice. All we have so far is glimpses of brilliance, just like high school.
