How about some race times? Running a 20mi run at 6mpm is a very vague effort. What about race times between 400-13.1 and what is the correlation? I am guessing your not as aerobically strong as you think.

Without knowing any details I am guessing your LA system isn't developed. Sounds like a case of doing a lot of slow distance instead of steady. You can run fast because of the CP system provides most of the energy.
