A lawsuit seeking an injunction may be filed the same day the law is passed, but an injunction will not issue that same day. The government of the state will have a right to a hearing. That hearing will not take place the same day the lawsuit is filed. There will be an "in the meantime."

All that is, of course, assuming the law passes. The Kentucky lawyer who says this bill never will become a law is probably right.
