There was that Cortland kid who ran ran faster in the mile (but his time was converted because it was on a banked track). However, the Cortland kid went 4:09 in the DMR the night before, then came back after his 4:09.0 mile the next day and ran 1:55 in the 800. 1:55 isn't exactly blazing, but after back to back 4:09 miles, it shows some pretty decent strength. Then you have Butzler, who I'm sure will put up a qualifying time soon- last year he was the only guy who stayed even remotely close to Leer through that 26 second last lap.
